The Surroundings

Quinta no Estaço is in the Monchique mountains, on the south side of the Foia mountain, with excellent views, at a height of 580 metres, about 6 km from the village of Monchique.
It is a 35-minute drive to the south coast, and 45 minutes to the west coast. Starting from the Quinta, you can go for lovely walks (e.g. walk in 1 hour to Monchique).
In the small Portuguese village you can do all kinds of shopping, there is a market, a post-office, a bank, cafés and restaurants. You find some of them on the way from Monchique to the Quinta no Estaço. The “A Rampa”, one of the favourite “frango piripiri” restaurants, is right on the crossing to the Quinta.
